in February 2010 Gourmet Garden Fresh Blends were awared Product of the Year, winner of the Sauces and Marinades category, for 2010. The award was received in response to a survery conducted by global research company, TNS, of 5000 Australian consumers.

Herbs & Spices are introduced into the Mediterranean Food Pyramid (January 2009)

Leading Australian dietician applauds the decision by the US creator of the international food pyramid to include herbs and spics within the essential frame for good nutritional health.

The addition of herbs and spices is to reflect new research on their health benefits as well as their dominant role in the Mediterranean flavour profile.

 

Gourmet Garden Launches new campaign: “Find your inner chef” (August 2008)

Gourmet Garden has launched a new fully integrated advertising campaign, “Find Your Inner Chef”, tapping into the product benefit of transforming your everyday cooking’, by featuring everyday people who transform into of well known celebrity chefs, while using Gourmet Garden herbs and spices.

Gourmet Garden’s CEO, Nick White attributes the company’s growing success to both the quality of the product itself and a strong communication support team.

 

Herbs and Spices make vegetables fab (March 2007)

Research shows that 95% of men, 90% of women and 80% of children do not eat enough vegetables. The makers of Gourmet Garden encourage Australians to be innovative with their veggies by using Gourmet Garden herbs and spices to boost their flavour and diversity.


Further support for the high antioxidant content of herbs (May 2008)

A study conducted by Southern Cross University, and released to Australian dietitians at the Dietitians Association of Australia national conference, further supports the high antioxidant content of herbs and their ability to significantly boost the antioxidant value of a meal.

Includes recipe for Antioxidant Rich Herb Filled Tomato Sauce using Gourmet Garden herbs and spices.


Double the antioxidant content of a salad by adding herbs & spices  (December 2007)

A study from Australia’s Southern Cross University (SCU) has reported that salad dressings made with herbs and spices can more than double the antioxidant content of your regular salad and boost your daily nutritional intake in the process. To ensure consistency of the antioxidant content of the herbs and spices, Gourmet Garden fresh herb pastes were used in testing


Gourmet Garden Herbs and Spices - Get Your Daily Antioxidant Boost! (September 2006)

Herbs and spices are an excellent way to boost your daily antioxidant intake.  A recently published review of the health effects of herbs and spices, prepared by the Australian National Centre of Excellence in Functional Foods (NCEFF), concluded that the antioxidant capacity of herbs and spices compared very favourably with that of fruit and vegetables.
