Penne a la Romana with Basil and Oregano

Enjoy traditional Italian cooking with this mouth-watering pasta. Bellissimo!

Ingredients

  • 1 diced onion

  • 500g (18oz) lean mince

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
    Add to Shopping List
  • 400g (14oz) canned diced tomatoes
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 cup tomato puree
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tbsp Gourmet Garden Garlic
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tbsp Gourmet Garden Basil
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tbsp Gourmet Garden Oregano
    Add to Shopping List
  • 500g (18oz) boiled and drained penne
    Add to Shopping List
  • Parmesan cheese to serve
    Add to Shopping List
Procedure SERVES 4

Step 1
Pan fry onion and lean mince in olive oil.
Step 2
Stir in canned tomatoes and cup of tomato puree. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add Gourmet Garden Garlic, Basil and Oregano.
Step 4
Serve with penne pasta and a sprinkling of parmesan.
