Prawn Stir Fry with Garlic, Chilli & Coriander
Prawn/ Shrimp Stir Fry

Enjoy the taste of Thailand and the sea with this quick and delicious stir fry.

Ingredients

  • 1kg medium green prawns

  • 2 tsp peanut oil

  • 1 tbsp peanut oil

  • 1 brown onion, diced

  • 1 tbsp Gourmet Garden Garlic
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tbsp Gourmet Garden Chilli

  • 1 bunch choy sum, coursely chopped

  • 100g snow peas, trimmed

  • 1 green capsicum, thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp Chinese rice wine
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tsp sugar
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tsp cornflour
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tbsp Gourmet Garden Coriander

  • Serve with peanuts & thinly sliced green onions if desired

Procedure SERVES 4

Step 1
Peel and devein prawns. Heat 2 tsp peanut oil in a wok and stir-fry prawns until just changed in colour. Remove from wok.

Step 2
Heat 1 tbsp peanut oil in same wok; stir-fry onion, Gourmet Garden Garlic and Gourmet Garden Chilli until onion softens.

Step 3
Add choy sum, snow peas and green capsicum. Stir-fry for 2 minutes. Combine soy sauce, Chinese rice wine, sugar and cornflour in a small bowl.

Step 4
Add to wok with prawns and Gourmet Garden Coriander. Stir-fry until heated through. Serve sprinkled with peanuts and thinly sliced green onions if desired.
