Lightly Dried Chilli
Gourmet Garden Lightly Dried Chilli is 6 large roughly chopped chillies, that have been lightly dried (just enough) to last for 4 weeks once opened. Because it is only lightly dried, it refreshes in cooking, giving you the closest flavour, appearance and aroma to that of fresh chilli.
Our spicy chilli is grown in the warm Bundaberg region in central Queensland. They are organically grown to ensure maximum flavour and are harvested when the spicy capsaicin is at its peak, guaranteeing a bold flavour. From there they are transported to our Palmwoods factory where they are washed, roughly chopped and lightly dried before being packed into handy pinch pouches or stackable pots.
Chilli can be added at the beginning of your cooking to infuse the flavour base throughout the rest of your cooking. Add towards the end for a sharper flavour. Chilli suits most cuisines but particularly pairs well with Asian curries and stir fries.
In cooking use about 1 tbsp of Lightly Dried Chilli to replace 2 tbsp of fresh chilli or sprinkle according to your taste!
