Nasi Goreng with Garlic, Chilli & Ginger

Add an Indonesian flavour to rice with this delicious chicken & prawn delight.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp peanut oil

  • 250g Chicken breast thinly sliced

  • 1 medium brown onion thinly sliced

  • 1 small green capsicum thinly sliced
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 small carrot thinly sliced
    Add to Shopping List
  • 3 tsp Gourmet Garden Chilli
    Add to Shopping List
  • 2 tsp Gourmet Garden Garlic
    Add to Shopping List
  • 2 tsp Gourmet Garden Ginger
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
    Add to Shopping List
  • 250g of uncooked small peeled prawns
    Add to Shopping List
  • 4 cups of cooked white rice
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tbsp Kecap Manis
    Add to Shopping List
  • 2 tbsp chopped peanuts
    Add to Shopping List
Procedure SERVES 4

Step 1
Heat 1tbsp peanut oil in a wok. Stir fry 250g thinly sliced chicken breast until brown and remove from wok.
Step 2
Heat 1 tbsp of peanut oil in wok and stir fry onion, green capsicum and carrot. Add fish sauce and Gourmet Garden Chilli, Garlic and Ginger along with peeled prawns and stir fry until browned.
Step 3
Add rice to the wok and stir fry until rice and sauce are well combined. Add Chicken and Kecap Manis to to the rice and stir fry until well combined.
Step 4
Serve with fried egg and fresh bean sprouts. Enjoy.
