Beef Lasagna

A family favourite that is not only delicious but quick & easy too

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped

  • 2 tsp Gourmet Garden Garlic

  • 750g beef mince
    Add to Shopping List
  • 700ml tomato pasta sauce
    Add to Shopping List
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
    Add to Shopping List
  • 2 tbsp Gourmet Garden Italian Herbs

  • 100g baby spinach leaves

  • 3 sheets fresh lasagna

  • 375g smooth ricotta cheese
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
    Add to Shopping List
  • Serve with green salad

Procedure SERVES 4

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan. Add brown onion, Gourmet Garden Garlic and beef mince. Cook, stirring, for 3 to 4 minutes or until mince changes colour.

Step 2
Stir in tomato pasta sauce and tomato paste. Simmer for about 3 to 4 minutes or thickened slightly. Stir in Gourmet Garden Italian Herbs and baby spinach leaves.

Step 3
Spoon 1/3 beef mixture over the base of a square 8 cup-capacity ovenproof dish. Top with 1 fresh lasagne sheet, trimming to fit. Repeat process twice, finishing with lasagne sheet.

Step 4
Spread ricotta over top of lasagne. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake for 20 minutes or until pasta is tender and cheese browns. Serve with green salad.

This was the easiest lasagne to make and the taste was devine! Definately a family favourite!
