Introducing Dominique Rizzo

Dominique RizzoDominique Rizzo’s passion for creative world food is obvious in everything she does and says … from her philosophy on food and cooking to her 15 years’ experience as a chef.

“Through the sharing of food, we share life and one is never lonely or hungry … cook with love, eat well and always laugh,” says Dominique, whose passion for food and cooking is fuelled by her Sicilian heritage.

She has 15 years experience as a chef, including seven years as former Head Chef/Catering Consultant/Cooking School Director and business partner in the award winning "Mondo Organics" restaurant in Brisbane's West End. In 2007, Dominique started her own chef/consulting business, "Pure Food Cooking" and more recently she has featured as a celebrity chef in on Channel 10’s “Ready Steady Cook”.

Dominique has partnered with Gourmet Garden to host the Gourmet Garden Cooking School at the Good Food and Wine Shows in 2009. While fresh ingredients are ideal, Dominique realizes that with all the goings on in life, preparing fresh herbs is not always possible.

“The ultimate in versatility, Gourmet Garden herbs and spices can be easily integrated into your everyday cooking suiting anyone’s busy lifestyle” says Dominique. “They keep really well in the fridge so there’s no wastage, and when I use up my fresh herbs I still have an amazing selection of fresh herbs in a tube to use in my cooking.”

Dominique also loves that Gourmet Garden are in the process of converting completely to organic farming principles.
