Chinese Chicken Noodle Soup with Garlic & Ginger

Chicken noodle soup with an Asian flare.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1lb chicken strips, thinly sliced

  • 2 cups Chinese cabbage, chopped
    Add to Shopping List
  • 8oz fresh green asparagus
    Add to Shopping List
  • 3 tsp Gourmet Garden Ginger
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tsp Gourmet Garden Garlic
    Add to Shopping List
  • 3 cups chicken stock
    Add to Shopping List
  • 3 cups water
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    Add to Shopping List
  • 6oz Chinese egg noodles
    Add to Shopping List
Method SERVES 4

Step 1
Heat oil in a wok or large saucepan and cook the chicken until brown. Add Gourmet Garden Garlic to chicken and cook for an additional 30 seconds.

Step 2
Add stock, water, asparagus, cabbage, soy sauce and Gourmet Garden Ginger to the pan. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer until the asparagus is tender.

Step 3
Add the noodles to the pan and simmer for an additional 3 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
