Lemongrass poundcake

Lemon Grass poundcake for a light dessert or perfect for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
    Add to Shopping List
  • 2 cups sugar
    Add to Shopping List
  • 4 eggs
    Add to Shopping List
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
    Add to Shopping List
  • 3 Tbsp Gourmet Garden Lemon Grass
    Add to Shopping List
Method SERVES 20

Step 1

Mix flour and baking soda; set aside.

Step 2

Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy.  Add eggs, one at a time, until well blended.

Step 3

Add flour alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition.  Blend in Gourmet Garden Lemon Grass.  Pour into a greased 10-cup Bundt type pan.

Step 4

Bake in 325 degree oven for 1 hour or until tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean.  Cool in pan 10 min.  Remove from pan.  Cool completely.

 

Tip: Divide batter into to well greased (9x5) loaf pans, bake as directed.
