Roasted Turkey with Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 8oz cream cheese

  • 2 tsp grated lemon rind

  • 3 Tbsp Gourmet Garden Fresh Blends Poultry

  • 1 cup chopped celery
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 cup diced bacon
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 cup chopped pine-nuts
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 cup chopped onions
    Add to Shopping List
  • 3 cups fresh breadcrumbs
    Add to Shopping List
  • 8lb - 10lb turkey
    Add to Shopping List
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper
    Add to Shopping List
  • 3 Tbsp Gourmet Garden Fresh Blends Poultry
    Add to Shopping List
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
    Add to Shopping List
Method SERVES 4

Step 1
Gourmet Stuffing: Beat together the cream cheese, lemon rind and Gourmet Garden Fresh Blends Poultry with hand held mixer until smooth. Add chopped celery, bacon, pine-nuts, onions. Mix in breadcrumbs.

Step 2
Herb Roasted Turkey with Stuffing: Pre-heat oven to 325F. Clean turkey and place on rack in roasting pan and pat dry.

Step 3
Combine olive oil, cracked pepper and Gourmet Garden Fresh Blends Poultry. Rub mixture under turkey skin in breast & thigh areas.

Step 4
Roast stuffed turkey for about 3-4 hours depending on size, basting frequently with melted butter. Check the temperature at the thickest part of thigh is 180F. Cover and let stand for 30 minutes. Remove stuffing before carving.
