Prawn/ Shrimp Stir Fry

Enjoy the taste of Thailand and the sea with this quick and delicious stir fry.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb medium shrimp

  • 1 Tbsp peanut oil

  • 1 onion, diced
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 Tbsp Gourmet Garden Garlic
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 Tbsp Gourmet Garden Chili Pepper
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 bunch bok choy,  coarsely chopped
    Add to Shopping List
  • 3.5oz snow peas, trimmed
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 green pepper, thinly sliced
    Add to Shopping List
  • 2 Tbsp light soy sauce
    Add to Shopping List
  • 2 Tbsp Chinese rice wine
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tsp sugar
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 Tbsp Gourmet Garden Cilantro
    Add to Shopping List
  • Serve with peanuts & thinly sliced green onions if desired

Method SERVES 4

Step 1
Peel and devein shrimp. Heat 2 tsp peanut oil in a wok and stir-fry shrimp until just changed in colour. Remove from wok.

Step 2
Heat 1 tbsp peanut oil in same wok; stir-fry onion, Gourmet Garden Garlic and Gourmet Garden Chili Pepper until onion softens.

Step 3
Add choy sum, snow peas and green pepper. Stir-fry for 2 minutes. Combine soy sauce, Chinese rice wine, sugar and cornflour in a small bowl.

Step 4
Add to wok with shrimp and Gourmet Garden Cilantro. Stir-fry until heated through. Serve sprinkled with peanuts and thinly sliced green onions if desired.
