Enjoy the taste of Mexico with these scrumptious beef tacos

Ingredients

  • 1lb beef steak, thinly sliced (flank or sirloin)

  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp. Gourmet Garden Garlic

  • 1 tbsp. Gourmet Garden Cilantro

  • 1 tbsp. Gourmet Garden Chili Pepper

  • OR 3 tbsp Gourmet Garden Fresh BlendsTM Mexican

  • 1 tsp. cumin
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 large avocado halved, peeled & diced
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 small red onion, diced
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 large tomato, diced
    Add to Shopping List
  • 1 tbsp. lime juice
    Add to Shopping List
  • Fresh Lettuce
    Add to Shopping List
  • Grated cheese

  • Sour cream

  • 2 limes cut into wedges

  • Warmed tortillas

Method SERVES 4

Step 1
Place Gourmet Garden Garlic, Cilantro and Chili Pepper OR Gourmet Garden Fresh Blends™ Mexican in a large bowl with beef. Add brown sugar and cumin; mix well.

Step 2

Create avocado salsa by combining avocado in a small bowl with diced tomato and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3
Cook beef strips in batches until cooked as desired.

Step 4
Serve beef strips in warmed tortillas, with lettuce, avocado salsa, cheese, sour cream and lime wedges if desired.
