Perfect for thanksgiving.
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- ½ cup onion, chopped
- 1 tart apple, large, cored and chopped
- ¾ cup dried cherries
- 2 Tbsp Gourmet Garden Fresh Blends Poultry
- ½ cup toasted, slivered almonds
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 ½ cups plain unseasoned stuffing cubes
Step 1
Heat vegetable oil in large skillet. Add onion and tart apple and cook for 8-10 min. or until browned and softened.
Step 2
Stir in dried cherries and Gourmet Garden Fresh Blends Poultry. Remove from heat; stir in slivered almonds.
Step 3
Heat chicken broth. Combine fruit-nut mixture with stuffing cubes. Add heated broth to mixture and stir well.
Step 4
Place stuffing in an 8-in square greased baking dish or a 1-1/2 qt. casserole dish. Cover with foil and bake in a 425 degree oven for 20-25 min.
Tip: If you prefer crunchier stuffing; do not cover before baking. Also try cranberries and walnuts in place of cherries and almonds.
