Herbed Beef Burgers

Serves 4
30 minutes
500 grams beef mince
3 slices of bread, crusts removed
1 onion, roughly chopped
1 egg
2 tablespoons Lightly Dried Mixed Herbs
Salt and black pepper, to taste
crusty bread rolls and salads, to serve

Break up mince in a mixing bowl. Chop bread to crumbs in a food processor. Tip over the mince. Chop the onion in the processor and add to mince and breadcrumbs. Add mixed herbs, egg, salt and pepper and mix well. Form into four large patties and refrigerate for 15 minutes.


Spray a hotplate with olive oil and heat to very hot, then reduce to medium. Cook the patties for 4­5 minutes on each side, until cooked through and well browned on the surface.


Serve on crusty rolls with your favourite salads.
