Turkey Pizza Burger with Garlic & Basil

Serves 4
15 minutes
1 lb Ground turkey, such as Perdue® Ground Turkey
1/4 cup Plain Bread crumbs
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp Lightly Dried Basil
1 tsp Garlic Stir-In Paste
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/3 cup marinara sauce
1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup pepperoni slices
4 whole hamburger rolls

Combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, egg, salt, basil and garlic in a large bowl. Form into large patties and press an indentation into center of each. 


Add oil to a large skillet and coat. Cook patties for 7 to 10 minutes or until the internal temperature is 165 degrees F. Add marinara sauce, flip the burgers until coated in sauce. Top each burger with 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, cover until cheese is melted. 


Place cooked burger on bottom bun, top with pepperoni slices and bun. Serve immediately.
