Chilli & Garlic Stir Fried Hokkien Noodles

Serves 4
15 minutes
500 frams hokkien noodles
1 tablespoons Lightly Dried Chilli
1 teaspoon Garlic Cold Blended Paste
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon fish sauce
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
300 grams beef fillet (or chicken breast), sliced into thin pieces
2-3 cups vegetables, such as broccoli, onions, carrots, capsicum thinly sliced
1/3 cup cashews or almonds, roasted and unsalted

Mix together oil, chilli, garlic, water, sugar, soy sauce and fish sauce and heat in a wok or deep frying pan until thick.


Add beef (or chicken) and cook for 4 minutes or until cooked through. Add vegetables and cook for a further 3 minutes. Add a little water if drying out.


Place noodles in a bowl and cover with boiling water separate noodles and stand for 2-4 minutes (or according to instructions on pack) and drain.


Add noodles to pan and stir for 1-2 minutes until heated. Serve sprinkled with unsalted cashews or almonds.
