  • 2 to 3 tablespoons (30 to 45 mililiters) olive oil
  • 12 large sea scallops (about 1 lb/ 500 g)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 mililiters) Garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 mililiter) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 mililiter) ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon (30 mililiters) Basil

Preparation

  • 1 Brush scallops on both sides with Garlic Paste; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Heat 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of the oil in large skillet on high heat. Place scallops in skillet. Reduce heat to medium. Cook 6 to 8 minutes, until golden brown on both sides, turning only once and adding remaining oil, if needed.
  • 2 Sprinkle with Basil just before serving. Serve over cooked rice, if desired.
