  • 1 tbsp (30 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 cups (500 ml) baby spinach, chopped
  • 1 can (398 ml) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 1/2 pounds (750 g) lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup (250 ml) oats
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) water
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) Basil
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) Garlic
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) Parsley
  • 2 tbsps (30 ml) ketchup

Preparation

  • 1 Heat oil in medium skillet. Add onions and celery; cook 12-15 min. or until softened. Stir in spinach and tomatoes; remove from heat and let cool.
  • 2 Combine ground turkey, oats, water, egg, salt, Garlic Paste, Parsley Paste and Basil Paste with vegetable mixture. Mix thoroughly.
  • 3 Transfer to lightly sprayed loaf pan (9x5-inch) (23x13-cm). Bake 50 minutes in 350°F (180°C) oven. Brush with ketchup and bake an additional 10 minutes. Cool 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
