  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter , softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Gourmet Garden™ Ginger Stir-In Paste
  • 1 package (12 ounces) chocolate chips

Preparation

  • 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Set aside. Beat butter and sugars in large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in Ginger Paste.
  • 2 Gradually beat in flour mixture, scraping down sides of bowl as needed, mixing just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • 3 Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheet.
  • 4 Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set. Cool on baking sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely. (Makes 55 (1 cookie) servings.)
