  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Gourmet Garden Ginger, Stir-In Paste
  • 12 slices bread
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 5 eggs
  • powdered sugar or maple syrup

Preparation

  • Melt butter with brown sugar and Gourmet Garden Ginger Stir-In Paste.

  • Spread ginger mixture in 9” X 13” pan and layer bread two slices deep. Beat together milk and eggs. Pour over bread, cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

  • Bake for 50 minutes in a preheated 350°F oven, uncovered.

  • Invert onto a warm platter. Serve with powdered sugar or maple syrup.
